Company History

1967 Yaskawa Electric Service Co., Ltd. established for sales of control devices and parts made by Yaskawa Electric Corporation.
1978 Yaskawa Controls Co., Ltd. formed after the electromagnetic control device plant separates from the Yaskawa Corporation Yukuhashi Plant.
1979 Yaskawa Electric Service changes its name to Yaskawa Controls Sales Co., Ltd.
1991 Yaskawa Controls Sales Co., Ltd. merges with Yaskawa Controls Co., Ltd.
Yaskawa Controls inaugurates the Shindenbaru Plant for producing electronic control devices.
1993 YASCO COMPONENTS Co., Ltd. established.
1997 YS ELECTRIC Co., Ltd. established.
2000 Low-voltage control device business division for producing magnetic contactors is transferred to Yaskawa Siemens Automation & Drives Corp.
2002 Low-voltage control device business division is retransferred from Yaskawa Siemens Automation & Drives Corp and relaunched as a section of the parts service division.
2008 The manufacturing department is integrated and relocated into Yukuhashi plant to improve productive efficiency.

1927 Introduced electromagnetic starters with overcurrent relays.
1928 Introduced bimetal type thermal relays for motor overload protection.
1931 Became the first in Japan to use silver contacts for magnetic contactors.
1943 Introduced clapper-type magnetic contactors.
1955 Introduced B-series low-voltage magnetic contactors (compact, molded type).
1963 Introduced high-voltage, magnetic air-break contactors.
1979 Developed Bestact, a hermetically sealed reed contact.
1990 Developed ozone applied products.
1993 Introduced F-series low-voltage magnetic contactors.
1994 Introduced bearings for use in vacuum environments.
1995 Acquired ISO9001 certification.
1998 Introduced J-series low-voltage magnetic contactors.
1999 Acquired ISO14001 certification.
2003 Launched into three leading enterprises consisting of Mechatro devices, Bestact control devices, and parts.
2007 Published IEC 62246-2 applies to the switching performance of heavy-duty reed switches for use in industrial applications.
